Project summary
The project fulfilled its aim.
The process followed more or less the given plan, in
November introduction of school and class and sharing it. In December we
started to draw and write Christmas cards. We sent the cards to to eight
schools. The kids asked their parents about Christmas food, put down the recipes
and shared them. We made an ebook of the recipes and a slideshow of Christmas
symbols. Family Christmas traditions were transferred into comics. We also
recorded Christmas songs.
I consider the project good. All pupils were involved in the
it (drew Christmas cards, a comics,
sang), it means that took an active part in the project. Some kids sent
different photos of Christmas, some recipes, the others tested the recipes.
Form 7 students helped us with translation.
I asked my kids written feedback about the project.
What project was it?
-
It is a Christmas project, we made cards, pictures and
sang.
-
Some European schools take part in the project
-
We learn about Christmas traditions in different
countries
-
The project introduces our school and we lean about
others
What did you learn?
- Copying and sticking the pictures.
- English
- Sending pictures to gmail.
- Saw the arrived cards
- Saw the students of other countries
- It’s nice to receive and send cards.
As a result of the project, we made a blog „Magic of
Christmas“. Children drew different Christmas symbols for the background of the
blog and the „winner“ was chosen among these. Kids learned to assess their
work, analyse and make a decision which cards to send. Some kids learned how to
send a picture by gmail. Some kids made gingerbred with mothers at home and
took photos of the process.
We have watched with pupils the presentations of other
schools, listened to the songs. So far 4 postcards have arrived.
In the project the following media were used – KIZOA, Movie
maker, Calameo, Picturetrail, Youtube. We photographed and processed photos,
used a video camera to record the songs, processed the video. The recipes and
Christmas traditions were presented in PowerPoint. The slides were shared in
Slideshare environment.
My contribution to Twinspace was modest. I uploaded the
video, PP presentations and introduction of our school but I did not comment on
my activities separately. I recorded my work and different stages of the
process in a separate blog.
The work language of the project was unclear. I presumed it
is English but somehow Polish was prevalent.
In spite of this the project was nice, it developed both me
and my students.
